HP has introduced the Folio13, its first ultrabook. Thin and light, it features enhanced security and a fast solid-state drive (SSD) for a fully mobile experience.
The new Folio13 has the longest battery life(1) in the ultrabook category. Its battery lasts up to 9.5 hours, the best among ultrabooks currently available. With this autonomy, users no longer need to carry a charger constantly, while its multiple ports let them say goodbye to dongles. Mobile professionals can remain productive and connected throughout the day, at home and at work, using only the HP Folio13.
Less than 18 millimetres thick, with a slim 13.3-inch HD(2) BrightView display, the Folio13 weighs just 1.49 kilograms.(3)
The HP Folio13 features the latest Intel Core processor and Intel Rapid Start technology, providing very low power consumption when the computer is not in use and a short startup time. This saves time and extends battery life and standby time.
The new ultrabook also offers a backlit keyboard for mobile users working in low light, while RJ-45 and USB 3.0 ports provide additional flexibility. It also includes a 128 GB SSD for faster response and increased reliability.
An optional TPM Embedded Security Chip protects email and hard-drive data for security-conscious users.
HP CoolSense technology combines advanced hardware and intelligent software to keep the Folio13 noticeably cool, while HP Imagepad offers precise multitouch gestures.
Additional features include the HP TrueVision HD(2) Webcam for more vivid, clearer HD images, and Dolby Advanced Audio.
The HP Folio13 can also be configured with a range of Microsoft Windows® 7 operating systems, including Windows 7 Professional. An optional three-year warranty is available through HP Care Pack.
Users seeking a desktop-like environment or additional audio, video, networking and USB connectivity can connect the HP Folio13 to HP's USB 2.0 unit.
